DIRECTIONS
1. Prepare the Tomatoes
Arrange tomato slices on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt and let sit for 30 minutes. Pat dry well.
2. Bake the Crust
Preheat oven to 375°F. Place crust in a 9-inch pie dish, prick the bottom with a fork, and bake for 10 minutes. Let cool slightly.
3. Make the Topping
In a bowl, combine cheddar, mozzarella, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, and chives.
4. Assemble
Layer half the tomatoes in the crust. Top with half the onion and basil. Repeat with remaining tomatoes, onion, and basil. Spread the cheese mixture evenly over the top.
5. Bake
Bake for 30–35 minutes, until golden and bubbling.
6. Rest & Serve
Cool for 20 minutes before slicing. Finish with fresh basil, flaky salt, and cracked black pepper.
